Hey there, I’m Wes!
I’m a master’s student at the University of Oregon, where I use spatial data science to tackle questions about climate change and forest ecology. For example, my thesis focuses on mapping and modeling above-ground carbon density in Interior Alaska with Landsat imagery, random forests, and a forest simulation model.
